Tips to Prepare for Your Photoshoot
Outfits and Make-Up for the Shoot
For your photoshoot, bring clothes you feel comfortable in, along with suitable shoes and a few accessories. It’s better to bring a bit too much than to realize during the session that something important is missing.
If you've booked your shoot with a makeup artist, please arrive completely without makeup. If you haven’t booked a makeup artist, feel free to apply your makeup at home — but it’s still a good idea to bring some products for touch-ups during the shoot.
It also helps to try out outfit combinations at home in advance. Please bring both light and dark clothing, and feel free to include colorful pieces too (e.g. all-white or cream, brown and black, patterned or polka dot clothes, or sensual items like off-the-shoulder or halterneck tops and dresses for women).
Accessories are also very important — they often add that special or personal touch to your photos. Depending on the type of shoot, you can bring various items:
Jewelry (necklaces, earrings, bracelets, and rings — from elegant and delicate to bold and colorful), scarves, belts, hats, sunglasses, fancy shoes, masks, feathers, ribbons, perfume bottles, mirrors, handbags, and any other personal items.
For women, high-heeled shoes or boots can create a great visual effect. They also make posing easier and add elegance to your posture. Of course, comfort and authenticity are key, so wear what suits you.
Posing
It’s super helpful to practice some poses and facial expressions in front of the mirror at home. We like to call it “just goofing around a little.”
You’ll be surprised how much fun it is — it loosens you up and helps you get a better feel for your body and discover your best angles. Just a heads-up: light muscle soreness the next day isn’t uncommon due to the unfamiliar poses.
Tips for Application Photo Shoots
Dress the way you would for a job interview — that’s the best rule of thumb.
The same goes for your makeup: natural is best. Avoid applying face cream right before the shoot.
Less is more — bold patterns can distract. A simple white shirt with a blazer or jacket usually works best. Creativity and individuality will come through in the photos themselves — you don’t need daring outfits to make an impression.
Tips for Your Beauty Shoot
Style your hair and nails at home. Minor touch-ups can be done in the studio's styling area. Pick out your favorite outfits in advance and bring them along. You’ll have time and space to change during the shoot in our dressing room. Accessories like rings, necklaces, and scarves help complete your personal look.
For a great mood during the shoot, bring your favorite music on your phone or MP3 player — we can connect it to our sound system in the studio.
Tips for Nude, Semi-Nude & Lingerie Shoots
If your shoot isn’t taking place at home but rather in the studio or outdoors, bring something warm for the breaks — a bathrobe, oversized sweater, or blanket will help you stay cozy and avoid getting cold.
You’re also welcome to bring body oil or lotion — it gives your skin a soft glow and smooth appearance.
Especially for nude or semi-nude shoots, avoid wearing tight clothing (like skinny jeans, socks, bras, or underwear) on the day of the shoot, as these can leave marks on the skin.
Tips for Your Couple Shoot
To make your shoot a great experience, bring a few of your nicest outfits and accessories (e.g. shirts, blouses, jeans). You can switch outfits during the shoot.
For a harmonious look, coordinate your clothing colors — this shows your connection and unity.
You don’t need to prepare anything else in advance — we’ll guide you through the shoot and bring out the best in both of you.
